About Me

My name is Scott Turner and I am a current Leeds Beckett Student studying Sports Coaching in my second year of study. I obtain a Higher sports leader award which I successfully completed in 2018 in my last year of Sixth Form. I also have a Lowland Leadership award which means I’m qualified to lead a group of people across lowland, in orienteering and hiking expeditions etc. I thoroughly applied myself to these courses which led me onto wanting to take things further into a BSc degree at Leeds Beckett University. Into my degree I have learnt much more in depth knowledge about the subject and I am looking to further my study in sports coaching after my final year on this current course.

I have played a myriad of different sports; I played Cricket for Hull Zingari CC which saw me contract a trial for the Yorkshire development squad. I played Football for North Ferriby United and competed in my Secondary School team. I had an experience with Tennis by competing for the Hull YPI Tennis club. I have played Rugby League since the age of 6 and continued for 13 years. I have also played Rugby Union since I was 13 and made it to a semi-professional team by the age of 18 and then went to University to play Lacrosse for a new challenge. I currently play for Goole Vikings ARFLC in Yorkshire Men’s 2 Division.

See below for a highlight reel of the rugby club I currently play for:
